Community Center Update
In our report at the Annual Meeting in August, we were just short of our goal to break ground by $7,600. Since then, between our fundraising efforts and your generous donations, we have surpassed that goal. The building fund accounts now total $109,500. We are hoping to begin soon with the building site preparation. There is a lot of excavating and fill dirt to be moved before the foundation can be done. We have been working with our resident architect to tweak the floor plans so that we will have an accurate materials list to request bids from the surrounding area. We have also met with the Poweshiek County Sanitarian and contractors to discuss and design a septic system that will be needed for the expected use of the Community Center. Read the full update |
